Our core classes, workshops and intensives are designed around the principle of the RAW Flow™ methodology, which takes our actors, writers, and directors through a process of gradual unfolding starting with the discovery of their voice. By enrolling at RAW, you will develop and/or hone your craft to express yourself fully and ultimately go on to tell your own stories, or at the very least, have the confidence to embrace your significance as a collaborator, not just an actor.

A RAW Approach to Self Taping:

Then, there’s what’s being required from you as an artist.
RAW introduces a first of it’s kind of class that will take you beyond what’s being asked of you.
Too often in acting classes that use a camera, actors are being taught to 'TURN ON' for the camera in order to book the job. But in fact, that’s the last thing a director is looking for.
A director wants an actor to use their craft, imagination, ideas, interpretations, impulses and most importantly be a TRUTH TELLER under the given circumstances provided by the writer/director.
An actor can’t do that if they think they need to TURN ON and act for the camera. The
RAW-camera-class will guide to discover how to allow a camera (when turned on) to capture you reveling in the moment, moment-to-moment.
By the end of this workshop, you will know how to drop the pretense, let go of control and surrender to the power within you.
You will discover that a camera doesn’t lie or tell the truth, nor does it care if what you do is right/wrong, good/bad, ugly/beautiful; it simply records what it sees.
If you give yourself permission to notice interior (sensations/thoughts) and exterior (what’s happening around you), moment-to-moment, a turned-on camera will capture you in a state of being/doing…
How exciting is that?
Just imagine the power that you an actor, creator, collaborator have! No wonder many actors love acting on camera… because they are liberated and surrender to the depth of the intimacy, immediacy and spontaneity that is there for them if they know how to get out of their own way, TURN-ON to the moment, turn down the critic inside.
